Game News: Play Friday for the Week of Feb 28th, 2014
(Topics – TV recap including Justified’s Nick Searcy’s weird Twitter rants, a review of indie darling To The Moon, and Ken Levine’s mass firings)
Welcome back to Play Friday – Game News for the week of Feb. 28th, 2014
Topic 1 -Metro Last Light early thoughts
In honor of the Winter Games, we’re knocking out games that take place near Russia. One of us played through Half Life 2 again (you know City 17 is modeled after Russia) and others of us are trying to make it through the Metro series. Hear our thoughts about the second game.
Topic 2 – Last of Us DLC: Left Behind review
Full review is coming but here’s where we ended up after playing through the DLC for Last of Us. Amazing game, perhaps best of 2013, good DLC but likely not worth the pricetag for now.
Topic 3 – Peter Molyneux calling Fable 3 a “trainwreck”
So he came back again to discredit his past game likely before promoting his next title. It’s very frustrating that we listen to this anymore considering it’s been a while since he’s delivered anything of value.
Topic 4 – Oscars are this weekend
We have some thoughts about how it’s gonna go down. Will 12 Years a Slave sweep? Can Alfonso Cuaron get a best director award? Who are you hoping wins? Or, are you like some of us and these are about as important as the Spike Video Game Awards to you (meaning not in the least bit)?
