Wolfenstein and the Current State of Retro Shooters (Podcast)

This week’s podcast we cover the surprising comeback of retro shooters like Wolfenstein and Doom.  Both games are remarkably good and for very different reasons.  Compare that to a game like Duke Nukem that cannot figure out a reason for its existence.  With games like Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and the excellent Shadow Warriors 2, we’re seeing a good place for retro-style shooters and hope to see more.

Also we’re complaining (like everyone else) at how crummy it is for Nintendo to pull another short-supplied console to create artificial demand with the SNES Classic.
