Despite it's grim environment, utter lack of humor, and inevitable downer ending, Shadow of War keeps pulling me back in. Here's how I think they do it.
More and more, games are letting us have some ambiguity in our stories. Whether its Her Story or Dark Souls or Arkham Knight, we're not really sure if we're seeing the good ending or even really reached an ending. To us, that's a good thing!
